How long to sail from seattle to hawaii. Answer 1 of 3. The answer is fairly simple and possibly completely useless. I crewed on a 45 Beneteau First 45F from Victoria BC to Maui during the 2014 Vic-Maui race.
That trip took our crew 15 days. Others- TP52s for instance- made it in about 11 days. A couple boats took up.
Well the journey from Seattle to Hawaii takes about 4-5 weeks. Its a distance of about 3100 nautical miles. Its worth mentioning that it takes around 31 days to sail from California to Hawaii at an average speed of 100 nm per day 4-5 knots.
However note that this is done without making any stops and under calm sailing conditions. It takes between 2 - 3 weeks to sail to Hawaii. During the last Transpac race the fastest monohull made the crossing in 5 days and 2 hours.

Discussion Starter 1 May 14 2007. Im interested in a boat in Honolulu if I buy it I have to get it back to Seattle. The sailing season in the area is long stretching from march until the end of October.

You can also take a look at Jim and Jurgas trip from Tahiti to Hawaii on their performance catamaran which they purchased from Sail Tahiti in 2018. They sailed directly from Tahiti to Hawaii in January 2019 and then on to Seattle later the same year.
