Spraying Interlux perfection paint I have restored many boats over the years. Its MUCH easier to apply Perfection at temps around 60-70 as it is at temps like 85.
How has it held up over the years to scuff marks wear and teardoes it stay shiny like AwlGrip would.

I did some searching of boating forums and found a lot of praise for the way Interlux Perfection rolled and tipped. Perfection is a two-part polyurethane paint and I wanted a two part because of its documented ability to stand up over years of. I am using interlux products all the way through to the final 2 coats of Perfection. Many people use the rolltip method as I will because it is much easier to get a better result than with spraying if you do not have a lot of spraying experience. We went with Perfection as it had better instructions on roll and tipping.
We ended up roll and rolling instead as it turned out better. Just wet you roller wet out your area then go back over slowly with the same roller and knock down any large stipple. Then leave it alone and watch it.
This will let you get three practice sessions from a single roller. Interlux Perfection paint is a new formulation replacing Interthane Plus and in some conditions this paint can be applied without thinning but you should expect to get better flow by thinning the mix at least 5 percent by volume. Perfection goes on in very thin coats and will not cover ANY imperfections.

I used the roll and tip method and both the epoxy primer and Interlux Perfection went on well. It took many weeks of filling and sanding to prepare the decks and hull for paint and only 25 minutes per coat to paint it. Perfection went on best on cooler days with lower humidity.
I have used interlux and Easy Poxy on other peoples boats because they didnt want to spend the extra money but on my own boat I use Awl Grip. Nothing matches the shine or durability. I spent 3 months fairing and priming my deck working weekends on a 38 sailboat and about 2 hours painting.

Spraying is better if you work alone and time is an issue. If you are a shade tree mechanic and work out of your back yard. You should consider your neighbors when spraying a very toxic paint.
